From Beginning to Babel
“Waters and sky, fish and birds”
Genesis 1:6-8, 20-23, Psalm 104:24-31
In this part of our series we learn that when you go fishing or birding, when you eat deep-fried turkey or shrimp cocktail, praise the Lord for the super-abundant blessings of creatures in sea and sky.
With profound clarity and concision, the first eleven chapters of Genesis display the glory and being of the eternal Creator, the goodness and beauty of His creation, and His special relationship with His created image-bearers. In this series we will see humanity in all of its beautiful fullness and terrifying depravity, and our covenant-making, merciful God who will not abandon His creatures.
