Sermon Series
Outward: The Book of Acts
The book of Acts derives its name from the “Acts of the Apostles,” but what we will see together is that the catalyst behind the church’s explosive growth was not human courage or strategy, but the power of God’s Word and Spirit – from Jerusalem, across the Roman world, and to the ends of the earth. That story continues to this day. From the first to the twenty-first century, the Word is advancing outward by the power of the Holy Spirit – transforming hearts, homes and cultures in our own day. We are not merely studying history – we are also participating in the ongoing mission of God to save and sanctify for Himself a people that bear His Spirit and share His Word.41

Anchored In Truth
The Nicene Creed is the most important statement of Christian belief outside of Scripture. It was written to clarify who Jesus is in response to various competing claims about him, claims that would change Christianity altogether. It helped the Church stay grounded in biblical truth when under tremendous internal threat. This summer, we’ll study the Nicene Creed in a sermon series titled “Anchored in Truth” to better understand our Triune God and the faith we confess, and apply these truths to our lives today.8
