The book of Hebrews helps us to prioritize Jesus above all and to persevere until the end. As we return to our series “Simply the best: The Book of Hebrews” we learn that all of the Old Testament points to Jesus, the One who is our mediator, our great high priest, the founder of our salvation. He is simply the best, and therefore we hold on to Him until we see Him face to face. On Sunday, May 7th we learn that having given twelve chapters of rich Christological doctrine, the preacher of Hebrews shifts to application of this doctrine in very practical matters: care for Christians, strangers, and prisoners, sex and marriage, money and contentment. If we have Christ, we have all we need and can obey Him.
