The Third Person:
“Filled, Walking, Keeping in Step”
Ephesians 5:15-21,
Galatians 5:16-26
In the conclusion of our series on the Holy Spirit we learn that the Christian life is a long and joyful obedience in the same direction as the Holy Spirit empowers us.
Some churches talk about the Holy Spirit all the time, while others rarely mention him. For many Christians, the very idea of the Holy Spirit leaves us feeling mystified and confused, so we fail to experience the impact he should have on our lives. It isn’t supposed to be this way. The Bible says the Holy Spirit is a gracious gift who fills us and leads us. He regenerates our hearts, taking us from death to life. He dwells inside the heart of every believer, bringing conviction of sin, guidance in prayer, and life transformation. He is the third person of the Trinity, and we must remember, worship, and joyfully obey him.
