Genesis 11:1-9

God has given us the ability to accomplish incredible things, from human flight to sequencing DNA to creating Buffalo chicken dip. But we are utterly helpless to reach up to God, and build a meaningful world for ourselves apart from Him. Everything we do depends upon Him, especially and including salvation from our sinfulness.

With profound clarity and concision, the first eleven chapters of Genesis display the glory and being of the eternal Creator, the goodness and beauty of His creation, and His special relationship with His created image-bearers. In this series we will see humanity in all of its beautiful fullness and terrifying depravity, and our covenant-making, merciful God who will not abandon His creatures.
