From Beginning to Babel
“The Disastrous Consequences of Compounded Sin”
Genesis 4:5-16, Hebrews 11:4

Cain’s response to God’s rebuke is instructive for us, leading us away from pride and bitterness, and towards humility and gratitude. God’s response to Cain is also instructive – while sin still has consequences, He is gracious to those who need it most, most of all through His slain shepherd Son.

With profound clarity and concision, the first eleven chapters of Genesis display the glory and being of the eternal Creator, the goodness and beauty of His creation, and His special relationship with His created image-bearers. In this series we will see humanity in all of its beautiful fullness and terrifying depravity, and our covenant-making, merciful God who will not abandon His creatures.
